I was raised in a family of readers and storytellers.  Both my parents came from large families and all were, and are, close and communicative.  I also come from a family of wanderers, restless people who crisscrossed the nation in search of experience and adventure.  This is my heritage.

My childhood was filled with books and I devoured everything I could find.  Growing up on a lake in Michigan I developed an appreciation for seagoing adventures beyond my years and thrilled to Melville, Dana, Conrad, Slocum, Heyerdahl, and other sailors.  I also loved the legendary stories of Paul Bunyan and Pecos Bill, Johnny Appleseed, and Ichabod Crane. I've always had my nose in a book.

I was an independent Video Producer and Owner/President of "Pelican Productions" and later "Barron Productions, Inc" in Southwest Florida from 1983 to 2007.  A true Auteur, I was a one-man-band, writing, shooting, voicing, and editing my work.  At the beginning I produced mostly industrial videos, employee communications, instructional tapes, and sales programming.., I did infomercials for K-Tel
